what is engine

Any machine which can convert heat energy or Fuel energy to mechanical energy is called engine.

Examples: Steam Engine- this engine used in traditional trains, it takes "Coal" as fuel.
                  diesel engine, petrol engine, stirling(air is working fluid there).
